Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He comes from a rich western family. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Adelard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. She is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories she has discovered

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She worked as a nervous Herbalist and found it very stressful. She struck the Herbalist job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and expand her business
