History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She has all her life been fascinated with singing.

History: Born in the east to a Gardener, Joan learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Gardener. She became a Gardener soon after.

Personality: Geoffrey wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Map Maker arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
