History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Avelina was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Avelina's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
