History: Diggory hails from a village terrorized by giants. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She exudes charisma. She is a tour de force of persuasion. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: Ahlyssa was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Hunter but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Hunter for the past few years.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She bought a morningstar and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister
