She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered south to less war torn lands. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He found several beat up suits of armor and, cannibalizing spare parts, he put together a working one.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
