History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she prefers to wear the grand gowns of high society. She carries her fan with her everywhere and carries herself as the perfect lady. Her long chestnut hair reaches down to her waist. She has a tattooed face.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. She worked as a nervous Mortician and found it very stressful. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Juliana fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Mortician responsibilities is difficult.
