History: He comes from a rich northern family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature sickle.

Personality: He is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, he's a very lovable idiot. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 10 years.
