Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. Hunter enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Hunter was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Personality: She is fixated on the number 33. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Joan fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Jane was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Expand her business; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
