Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A gifted student she started as a Miller, but she got bored and became a Dilettante. She has worked as a Dilettante like her mother before her.

Motivation: To pay off her debts; and she made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it

Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: Frederick lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

Description: She is an exceptionally muscular looking southern young adult. She wears a lot of dark rich colors, with gold accents. Beneath her clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. She has done her best to style her chestnut hair to look like a famous performer. She wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Guard born in the past three hundred years. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Ermina is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. When Ermina reached her early adolescence her Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
