Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Melissa alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Melissa was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Ahlyssa's homeland. Ahlyssa decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
