Personality: Hubert is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Hubert was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
