Personality: Hugh is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature scimitar.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Description: A 4'8" southern woman, she wears a shirt that is too small, which lets her gut show, with a ratty white coat over it. Her white hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. Her eyes are likewise hazel. Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While she appears to be a normal Human, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: He is renowned for his bright red suits and hats. He has relatively light skin and is very physically imposing due to his abundance of muscles. He has dyed his greying black hair a little too much giving a sharp black color. His eyes are amber.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. Gerald is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and wants to raise his children well

Description: Her skin is bronze and flawless. She dresses in collared shirts and wears a proper scarf over her head. She is an epitome of beauty. Her silver hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a deerstalker hat. She has gleaming, smiling blue eyes.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. After a long history of fighting, Galiena and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.
