Description: A man of a pale complexion, he tends to wear a white poncho over his likewise colored trousers and shirt. He has done his best to style his chestnut hair to look like a famous performer. He has gleaming, smiling green eyes.
Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.
History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Her attire stands in sharp contrast to her hammer, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a skull on it. Her golden hair is lengthy. Her green unseeing eyes seem to look past you.
Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.
History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Herbalist arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Mercenary. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 3 years.
Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and balancing her hectic life and new mercenary responsibilities is difficult

History: Melissa lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
