Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Adventurer they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Layabout, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and seeks redemption

Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
