History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Merchant arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. The war was a terrible time for him, and Jocelyn does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Gifted from a young age, Jocelyn studied abroad. He married young, but lost his spouse to dire rats. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She hates Humans with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Mercenary. She's also a talented Layabout, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Conrad's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. Conrad enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: To be a Blacksmith again; and money/treasure
