History: Don was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and many dire rats want him driven away

History: Adelaide lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Bookbinder they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Ruler, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: To unite with her sister.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. Her first spouse was a Scribe, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and she seems to be bored by most things
