Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Description: His left side is far more bruised and cut up than his other. He wears brown robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a club, but if one is not available he will default to his halberd. His chestnut hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His green eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, John grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. John grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did John. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Description: He is renowned for his bright white suits and hats. He carries with him a set of quarterstaffs on his belt, each one with a emerald on the hilt. He sports a long black beard, and similarly colored long hair. He has violet eyes and a white hat with a yellow feather.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. The war was a terrible time for him, and Theobald does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Theobald's homeland. Theobald decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Theobald fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he loathes his own lifestyle

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She comes from a rich western family. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 5 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Williamina never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and she is greedy
