History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Melissa was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many goblins want her driven away.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Gomory abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Through the years after Elysande was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Elysande's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Katherine is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Katherine fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
