History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His parents were killed by brigands in a raid when he was still a young child. The brigands captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Avelina isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. She disdains her fellow southerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Many drow want him driven away; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: She trusts no one. She is not readily capable for forgiveness and her ire never leaves her. She always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove her into the Animal Trainer business.

History: Born in the west to a Animal Trainer, Susannah learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
