During his travels, Gerald and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Gerald discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Gerald fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. A gifted student he started as a Marshal, but he got bored and became a Navigator. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and balancing his hectic life and new navigator responsibilities is difficult
