History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Herleva alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Emmeline was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
