History: He comes from a rich eastern family. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Dustin alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Marshal and was forced into it by his family; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
