Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Shane embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying east to reunite his family. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Shane was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. She is very protective of her business, her home, and her spouse. She is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: Wants to raise her children well; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. She is harsh and unforgiving.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
