Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Anselm will drive conversation. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Personality: Katherine hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her painting career. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her painting with anyone who is interested.

History: Katherine was born with her father's beautiful face. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
