History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Katherine was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Kyle was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: She comes from a rich western family. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and a rival would like her out of the picture
