History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Bounty Hunter for the past few years.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Giselle was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
