History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Born to a Carter, his father struggled to pay the bills. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Kody grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Kody. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Kody was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.
