History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Cory alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
