History: Oriel lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: She is intelligent and cunning, but she will too often allow her rage to get the better of her. She will lose her cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and doesn't want to be a bricklayer and was forced into it by her family
