Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Hubert was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Hubert was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Hubert's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Hubert and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to reunite with his old friends
