History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: Eleanor hails from a village terrorized by orcs. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Anselm was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
