Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a beer of some kind. He wears tattered old clothes, marred by beers. His blonde hair is cut short. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Aldous's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He works hard and plays hard.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Description: This woman is bedraggled and starved. She tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look. Her chestnut hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. Her thin eyebrows rest above her beady amber eyes.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She seeks to pay back kindness whenever she gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip she always seeks to do solids for her friends.

History: She got into the Shepherd business at a young age. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To unite with her sister; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister

Description: He tends to wear a large blue jacket. He cuts an attractive figure and his suit of old armor is well cared for even if it is obsolete. His golden hair is braided into rings. He has several tiny aquamarine earrings on each ear.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, orcs burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying east to reunite his family. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and a deep hatred of orcs
