History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Mary grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and she made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it
