History: Lance hails from a village terrorized by illithids. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Lance alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: He was born in the south. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
