History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Through the years after Mary was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Mary's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
