History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gerard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents enrolled him in a Paladin school at a young age so that he could practice his psionic talents. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Rosalind's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
