History: Giselle was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered south to less war torn lands. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and he is greedy
