History: He comes from a rich eastern family. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Chad alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Frederick is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: He was born in the north. A gifted student he started as a Navigator, but he got bored and became a Barber. He has worked as a Barber like his father before him.

Motivation: To be a Navigator again; and expand his business

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her father was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
