History: He was born in the south. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Doctor. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
