After coming to the age of reason, Avice took it upon herself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: Gilbert was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. Gilbert was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Gilbert decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.
