History: Bernard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Soapmaker for hire.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. The war was a terrible time for him, and Shane does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. A freak accident while working with her Sage father left her crippled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
