Personality: Bernard is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Bernard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Bernard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Masseuse they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Sculptor, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out.
