History: Cecily lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Cecily was born on a far southern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Ruler. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Carter they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Ruler, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Regain custody of her daughter; and doesn't want to be a ruler and was forced into it by her family

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with poetry. He constantly tries to fill his life with poetry. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He was born in the east. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
