He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Eva is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Eva grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Eva. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with singing. He constantly tries to fill his life with singing. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Heward was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Dilettante. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and to find somewhere to settle down
