Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He feeds upon the attention of others.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Cory grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Cory. Being a Blacksmith kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. In her 12th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Alice alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Alice was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge.
