History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She dropped out of school to support her sick mother, and resented it. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother
