History: He was born into a rich family. Dean was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Dean decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Being a Carter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: She swings through moods quickly. One moment she is cool and collected, the next she is carried away by passions. She is a great chef.

History: Jacoba was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: A middle-aged man, he is wearing a long, violet cloak, and is pretty ugly. He has shaved his head bald. This hazel eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and to reunite with his old friends

Description: She stands about 6'1" and wears a white vest and prefers brown and grey shirts. Her boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. Her left leg appears badly burned and disfigured. Her chestnut hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. Her face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. Her spectacle hidden eyes are a deep green.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Alice lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers
