History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Anselm was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. One day when Anselm was young, his father was sewing while trying to overcome the flu, when suddenly his father dropped to the ground dead. His father had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Anselm was heart-stricken from the event, and his mother started working long hours to provde for them. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She works hard and plays hard.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Nicholas isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has never given up on his writing dream.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
