History: Bernard hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: Hubert was born with his father's beautiful face. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. The war was a terrible time for her, and Eloise does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She loathes her own lifestyle; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
