Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Anne was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of her oldest sister, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. After a long history of fighting, Emma and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Butcher born in the past three hundred years. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Nicholas was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
